Bad Mouth Breath

Bad mouth breath can become very uncomfortable to someone even she or he become scared to hang with friend or relatives when it happen so just do as explained below even if you have been trying to use different medication for treating bad mouth breath and seems to fail.

Why Bad Mouth Breath

Bad mouth breath typically originates in the mouth, where bacteria are ever present. When you eat, bits of food get caught in your teeth. Bacteria grow on these bits of food, releasing foul-smelling sulfur compounds.

The most common cause of bad mouth breath is poor dental hygiene. If you don’t brush and floss often, the bacteria in your mouth continue to grow, and a thin film of bacteria known as plaque builds up on your teeth. When plaque isn’t brushed away at least twice per day, it produces a foul odor and leads to another smelly process tooth decay.

All foods get stuck in your teeth, but certain foods like onions and garlic more commonly lead to bad breath. Digestion of these foods’ releases sulfur compounds into your bloodstream. When the blood reaches your lungs, it affects your breath. Here are the methods that’s will help you to get rid of bad mouth breath

Lemon juice is thought to help reduce smelly breath because of its strong antibacterial properties that help neutralize bad mouth breath. Either suck on a lemon wedge or mix a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice into a glass of water and drink it soon after taking a meal.

Chewing gum.

This can activate salivary flow in the mouth hence removes any food particles in the mouth. And leaves the bubblegum behind, a minty one will be of great help to mask the bad mouth breath better.

Green tea

Teas are good when it comes to masking of bad mouth breath. Green tea has a strong ability to cover bad breath. Then it is advised to drink tea regularly to have a good result.

Homemade mouthwash with vinegar

Vinegar contains a natural acid called acetic acid. Bacteria don’t like to grow in acidic environments, so a vinegar mouthwash may reduce bacteria growth.

Add 2 tablespoons of white or apple cider vinegar to 1 cup of water. Gargle for at least 30 seconds before spitting it out.

Rinse with warm salt water

Gargling salt water is a natural way to stop bad breath.

Create a mixture of 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of salt to every 8 ounces of warm water. Swish a swig of the mixture around your mouth for 30 seconds, then spit it out. Repeat as needed.

Eat fruits and veggies

Did you know fruits and vegetables help freshen your mouth breath?

Apples, celery, and carrots act as natural toothbrushes and help remove bad mouth breath causing bacteria from your teeth. Oranges (vitamin C) help increase saliva production to fight bad mouth breath.

 

FOOD TO AVOID TO HAVE GOOD MOUTH BREATH

Some foods and drinks to avoid or limit in order to prevent bad breath include:

  • Alcohol: Alcohol can dry out the mouth and increase the production of odor-causing bacteria.
  • Garlic and onions: These foods contain compounds that can be absorbed into the bloodstream and exhaled through the lungs, causing bad breath.
  • Spicy foods: Some spicy foods, such as chili peppers and curry, can cause bad breath due to the release of volatile oils.
  • Coffee: Coffee can cause bad breath due to its strong odor and the drying effect it has on the mouth.
  • Dried fruit: Dried fruit, especially raisins, can stick to the teeth and contribute to bad breath.
  • Cheese: Cheese and other dairy products can contribute to bad breath due to their high protein content, which can lead to the production of sulfur-containing compounds in the mouth.

In addition to avoiding or limiting these foods, it’s important to practice good oral hygiene by brushing teeth twice a day, flossing daily, and using a mouthwash to kill bacteria and freshen breath. If you are experiencing persistent bad breath, it’s a good idea to speak with a healthcare provider or dentist for further evaluation and treatment.
