10 Points on Importance of Water will be provided in this article to show how you should take water and how much is minimum amount of water should be taken per day and how children should be considered in giving them water and in generally importance of water in the body.

Water is not part of the food group, but water is very important for health in achieving various functions in the body. Also, many parts of the body need water to function properly and more than 60 percent of the human body’s weight is water. So water helps the body to perform various functions  and importance of water to life and this includes;

10 Points on Importance of Water

Water helps in digestion of food, transport of nutrients and absorption of nutrients in the body.

Water helps in making fluids found in body parts such as elbows and knees, thus helping those parts to work properly.

Water regulates body temperature.

Water helps prevent the removal of dirt and debris from the body through sweat and urine

Water helps reduce body fatigue

Water helps prevent the possibility of getting some diseases such as stomach and bladder cancer, and kidney stones, especially when it is drunk in the required amount.

For an adult, it is recommended to drink clean and safe water as much as one and a half liters per day or eight glasses per day. Also, an adult can increase the amount of water by drinking by using liquid substances such as soup, real fruit juice and sweets.

 

Children who started to be given food aged from 6 months onwards should be given water according to their needs and it is better to be given water after eating and not before eating. But for babies under the age of 6 months, it is not allowed for health reasons to be given any food or drink other than breast milk, as breast milk nourishes them with enough water according to the needs of the child.

 

How the body loses water

 

Extreme heat: during extreme heat, a person is at risk of losing a lot of water in the body if he does not drink enough water because during extreme heat, a person sweats a lot, which contributes to water loss.

Diarrhea and vomiting: when a person is in this condition, a lot of water is lost in the body, so it is recommended to drink water regularly to prevent dehydration. The issue of using water with added salt, salt and sugar is also important when a person has diarrhea, vomiting or diarrhea and vomiting at the same time.

Drinking too much alcohol: because alcohol causes a person to urinate frequently and thus lose a lot of water.

When is water considered Safe and wholesome?

Water should be safe and wholesome i.e., it should be free from disease-causing agents like bacteria, viruses, parasites etc., and harmful chemical substances like pesticides, industrial wastes, heavy metals, nitrates, arsenic and excess of fluoride.

Fluorosis, a disease with bone deformities and dental problems, results from drinking water containing an excess of fluoride over long periods. Generally, a concentration of 0.5 to 0.8 mg of fluoride per liter of drinking water is considered safe and importance of water to life

If a water source is not safe for drinking, boiling it for 10-15 minutes is a satisfactory method of purification of the water. It kills all disease-causing organisms and also removes temporary hardness. However, boiling will not remove other chemical impurities. Tablets containing 0.5g of chlorine can disinfect 20 liters of water.

There are many modern gadgets which claim to provide safe and wholesome water.

However, they vary in efficacy.

Drink clean and safe water to protect your health. Purify drinking water by boiling it or by applying water guard medicine because drinking impure and unsafe water can cause a person to get diarrheal diseases such as typhoid and cholera.   • Drink enough of safe and wholesome water to meet daily fluid requirements.
  • Drink boiled water, when safety of the water is in doubt.
  • Consume at least 250 ml of boiled or pasteurized milk per day.
  • Drink natural and fresh fruit juices instead of carbonated beverages.
  • Prefer tea over coffee.
  • Avoid alcohol. Those who drink should limit its intake

Getting enough water every day is important for your health and importance of water to life . Drinking water can prevent dehydration, a condition that can cause unclear thinking, result in mood change, cause your body to overheat, and lead to constipation and kidney stones.

As seen water is very important to human being so we should not dare to destroy the environment as their part of water conservation therefore let us not forget to protect our environment for the purpose of getting safe water that is free from chemicals and micro organism causing disease.

How do desert people leave without consuming much water?

People living in desert find it hard in getting water but mostly their body have been conditioned to withstand the environment by living through consuming a little amount of water but these people they eat meal with large bulk of water to reach the required amount of water for the body. They mostly work during night time to prevent from dehydration during day .
